Alton Towers have revealed Across the Altonverse, the theme for this year’s Fireworks Spectacular taking place from 6 to 8 November.

The show will combine fireworks, live performers, music and special effects to bring its story to life, following “a group of explorers from the Alton Society of Invention and Exploration,” as they travel “through the stories and events behind some of the Resort’s best-known rides and attractions.”

Alton Towers generally theme their end-of-season fireworks show around the park’s areas and attractions, with this year’s set to feature sequences around Forbidden Valley, Katanga Canyon, Dark Forest, X-Sector, Gloomy Wood and Mutiny Bay. And, as is something of a tradition at this point, the fireworks will once again build to a finale set to ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King’, the iconic piece of classical music that’s become synonymous with the park for the British public.

The Fireworks Spectacular is a much-loved staple in the park’s calendar and one of the busiest times of year for Alton Towers, marking the end of the season before the park closes for the winter.

You can find out more about the fireworks event on the Alton Towers Resort website.
